The Crown of Isis
Across
this curve of beach
your mighty wings bring breath
oh maker of golden sunrise -
Isis
Unveiled,
star of the sea
ashine in the heavens -
limitless goddess in a grain
of sand
Carved out
of the blue moon-
stone cabochon your face
hides in an amulet between
my breasts
Revealed
in the shadows -
lady of the green crops -
by moonset's light from silvery
feathers
How one
women become
in the paradox of
Mysteries' spellbound verse that weaves
our dance.
