 | AMAZE
|
Carly Svamvour
|
We speak
of dawn, bursting
from the womb, the morning
to follow. We speak of childhood
- fumbles,
learning
to walk, where not
to stumble, the judgments
of mid-day, afternoon sorrows,
- mishaps
suffered,
basking under
colours of the western
sky; we speak of impending dusk
- shelter.
We speak
of midnight, love
and hate spilling from lips
gone thin, for its stroke is at hand
- welcome.
