Poolside
Sparkling
veins of sunlight
ripple with the water -
feet kicking lazily I watch
them dance.
Mother Earth
Her eyes
sore and stinging,
filled with deadly toxins
produced by those that she nurtures,
she weeps.
Sad tears
of acid rain
streaking her lovely face,
she valiantly strives to keep on
giving.
