Blaze In Bitteroot
A buck
stands with mate, bold
against backdrops split by
crimson, burnt orange, and mustard angst
root rows.
Mud brook
clots to conceal
their nutmeg hide and hoofs.
A bonfire bush nuzzles their young
to sleep.
Thaw
A spark
lights a tallow
heart. Its wick rejoices
with heated passions, melting all
doubts there.
