Sweet Splendor
Rose red
pantaloons prance
past. Spy lavender sprigs
to lace spent petals, butterfly
bouquet.
Knotty Pine
No words
nor petals line
her casket. Worms delve deep
as serpent tongues split dry wood with
laughter.
Crows Feet
Wrinkles
collect on my
flesh, they connect and spread
like new sprigs of green stretched towards
the sun.
