AMAZE

Betty Dobson

Monarch

monarch
vivid and true
in kaleidoscope robes
do you envy the hummingbird
his blur?

Stars Stutter

the stars
stutter in code—
ancient plea or warning—
falling from heaven to earth on
blind eyes

The Verge

tangy
scent of regret
drifts through open windows
autumn night on the verge of cold
farewell
