This
House
the clock
expresses remorse
that it could not give time
more freely than calculating
heartbeats.
the sink
weeps incessant;
one more screw to tighten.
structure slowly broken by drips
drowning.
the man:
just a fixture
needing too much repair,
lungs of rusted hinges swinging
skyward.
