AMAZE
Linda Papanicolaou

Rockery

Speedwell,
mother of thyme
tumbling over moss pink
and perennial candytuft
in the
warm sun
of a garden retaining wall
vinca, hen and chicks, and
one small lizard
dozing...

Romaine Domaine

Inchworm
on a green leaf
pausing to wag its head
at a universe of lettuce
as if
sheer spunk could make the difference
between moth wings and death
by Italian
dressing
