AMAZE
Gael Bage

Windbreak

Poplars
in chorus line,
elegant in sheer gowns
dancers tremble as wind whispers
secrets.

What a bore

I yawn --
tired as the man's dining prattle
Dozing, I drop lower
down the food chain
and grunt.
