AMAZE
Trish Shields

Sentinels

herons
patrol the shore,
their beaks timing each wave,
measuring each mouthful, bobbing

Farewell at Dusk

droplets
flow in circles
that blossom on my skin;
I am the moon, trapped in your
orbit
