AMAZE
Ross Plovnick

From the Deck of a Cruise Ship

I watch
you, Madame Sea,
winking, preening, flashing
your ice-blue silks and gray-white gown
at me.

Apprenticed

Our earth,
frail boat, drifts on
a vast ocean of sky
while we hold tight and try to learn
to row.
