Vibrations
I scale
life in high notes,
dancing the ivories
on pointed toes, arms spread like wings
in flight
while you
measure each step in shadow-walk,
riffling the sharps and flats,
tipping into
free fall.
Garden Snail
Footfalls
gauntlet the path
before its easing ways . . .
Oh, how rain trickles a misstep's
remnants.
