AMAZE
Naia

On a Full Moon Night

Reading
haiku into
the wee hours, we poets
who write of specks on the noses
of frogs.

Pan de Muertos

Ancient,
this compelling
desire for communing
with the dead, to feel their
presence
again
the redolence of ripe peaches
and tequila fades: proof
that spirits do
return.
