a Full Moon Night
Reading
haiku into
the wee hours, we poets
who write of specks on the noses
of frogs.
Pan de Muertos
Ancient,
this compelling
desire for communing
with the dead, to feel their
presence
again
the redolence of ripe peaches
and tequila fades: proof
that spirits do
return.
